Alan Corbett’s Ghost of Shandon will be launched on Saturday the 11th of August in the children’s book department of the Cork City Library. The book will also be released in book shops throughout the Cork region in August and also made available online through the publishers website; www.Onstream.ie
Also Corbett reported on his blog http://www.theravenswork.com/ that there are plans for a public exhibition of the original illustrations and art work from Ghost of Shandon in a Cork art gallery during August. The details of which will be announced in when confirmed.
As Alan described the book, “The Ghost of Shandon is a graphic novel/children’s book based predominantly in 18th Century Cork City. A period of history in Cork in which French Huguenots, Dutch Merchants, British land owners and the local Irish made Cork the second largest port in the world.”
